Centre Members Inspire at Brain Health Day
Members of our Centre recently took part in Brain Health Day, a public engagement event organised by the Geoffrey Jefferson Brain Research Centre. Held at the Friends’ Meeting House in Manchester city centre, the event celebrated the cutting-edge brain and neuroscience research underway at the University.
Our volunteers showcased the Nanotechnology for Brain Health theme through a series of hands-on, interactive activities. Attendees explored how magnets can guide nanoparticles to the brain, “fishing” for biomarkers using liposomes, and got up close with flexible graphene neural interface devices.
The event was very well received by the public and offered a fantastic opportunity to share the innovative and impactful research happening within our Centre.
